I didn't know where to put this so I have put it here. I applied a couple of weeks ago for the three month ICP. I am in the Uk so I used Yummy but I haven't heard anything. Is that normal? I'm just getting rather apprehensive about not having hear. I want in so badly ...
Another question as well, if you don't get in do they let you know or do they do what some other companies do and just leave you guessing.
they will always tell you, or should do. if you don't hear it's possible they didn't get the application. But it can take up to 8 weeks to hear back from them. I think however, if you've applied for the college program for this year then you'll be too late as the places have been allocated. you may need to check with some of the ones on the program for that, but with everyone leaving in May/June I think it was all decided a few months ago when the disney casting agents tour around the uni/college campuses. If you want in for next years then you're applying in plenty of time so I wouldn't worry yet and it would be worth trying again in a few months to remind them you want in.
I have applied for the 2008 summer programme so I would be working between my 2nd and 3rd year of uni. I applied around 3 weeks ago so that means another 5 week wait ... too long to wait ... I also e-mailed Jason at the beginning of this week so hopefully something will come out of that. If not then I will just e-mail them in a month or so.
you are applying in plenty of time for that program then so I wouldn't worry too much yet. They won't be giving out those places until the beginning of next year anyway I think. You will get a reply from them, it just takes time because they get so many applications to work through among taking care of others in the process of sorting out their work! It doesn't normally take 8 weeks though, they just have to cover themselves!
Yeh, I get quite paranoid about this kind of stuff. I think they are also sorting out the applicants who are going out this summer cos thats next month so I suppose it is a busier time of year for them and there aren't really many people to do all the stuff they do. I'll find out soon enought though ... five weeks is just a long time to wait. I am guessing that I will know by the middle - end of june. I suppose I can wait that long I will just have to keep myself preoccupied to stop thinking about it. I suppose thats one good thing about having exams. lol.
Wahay I think I have heard back from them. I got a phone call to my home address which I obviously didn't get cos I'm at uni this now. It is meant to have been from someone called Christine.
I got an e-mail and i now have to wait till the end of the year until they hold phone interviews. Does anyone know when these are taking place for the summer college programme for 2008?
if its anything like for the 2006ICP then you'll have your phone interview in october, have a face to face in november, then hopefully get the job in december ;D
thanks, when kristen said towards the end of the year i was seriously thinking that she was meaning december time ... october means that there are 7 months instead of 9. I suppose it all adds up.
