Hey guys, I know the basics of the application process, just wandering if anyone has any more information of the timeline of events between the steps. For example I know that from August (tomorrow!) we can start sending in our CVs and Covering Letters, the next step I think would be a phone interview and then face to face interview should you be successful at the previous stages. My question is this though: How long can we expect to wait to hear whether we have been selected for the next step (ie phone interview)? I understand it's not like many jobs where you can receive a call back sometimes just days after applying, but do unsuccessful applicants get informed that they have not been successful? When can I expect to hear from them if I am successful? If I am not successful I want to go on a holiday to Florida with my friends but he is already looking at villas etc so I can't expect them to hold off booking until I hear any news about my application if this is not expect to be until around say February. If anyone could give me any information about how long the application process can typically take it would be much appreciated. Thanks guys.
Hey! Im not 100% sure on this because I applied in december 07 for the ICP which I have just returned from... but when I applied, I had my interview about 2 weeks after sending in my CV, then my F2F interview wasnt until the end of February (about 6 weeks after originally sending my CV) and I didn't find out I was going until the end of March! (Then I flew out at the end of June... crazy!) But as you are applying so early in the process for summer 09.. I think the people who get interviewed before christmas (the first round of interviews rather than the second round of interviews which I went through) find out before december You definately wont have to wait until March like I did!!
I applied around now, had a phone interview in September and then had an interview in November/December time. I knew before Christmas that I was going.
