I'm just getting ready to do the online application and will be attending the presentation in a week. Just had a few questions. I'm updating my CV and I was wondering whether Disney checks references. This probably sounds bad but my references really are authentic. I just like to give my referees a little warning if they're likely to be getting a call, just so they have an idea of where I'm applying and what kind of questions they might have to answer. I also have a few different referees available and generally try to change the ones listed on my resume so that they're the people best suited to that job. Also is it possible to apply for both 6-month and 12-month program and just take whatever is offered if we get accepted? Also if the online application anything complicated or is it just basic information?
Pretty sure Disney doesn't check references. I didn't even include mine on the original CV I sent to them. I'm not sure about the 6- and 12-month thing. They asked me in the interview whether I want to go for 6 or 12 and I said 12. I don't think it affects your chances of getting in whether you choose 6 or 12 months. Just pick what you want to do =) If you choose 6 months you can get the option to extend to 12 months either before you start, or after you've started. I'd suggest you decide what you want to do before the interview, because it will look better if you look like you've done your research and know what you want. I actually don't remember much about the online application, so it can't have been that complicated!
