    Hey everybody !!

Just a couple quick questions, I'm going to be applying for the CRP next summer . I will be turning 20 and if I get into the program (fingers and toes crossed) I will still be 20 when I go down but will be turning 21 when I am there.

Sooo, the question is when I turn 21 will I be able to move into the wellness apartments? Also, are you aloud to go to the wellness apartments when you live in non wellness? I know that you will not be able to party and what not .. but to just go and hang out ?

This has probably already been a question but I'm to tired to look through all the threads right now !

    Thanks everyone :)

    :)

Answer to all your questions is yes. It is only individual apartments that are designated wellness/non-wellness so the flat next to you could be the other type. You can move apartments subject to a fee/availability and you can visit any type of apartment whatever your age.

Just don't get caught drinking under-age. Obviously, people do do it, but if you're caught, you're home. Simple as that... they're very very big on under-age drinking over here. It's not like the UK where you can get caught drinking at 14 and get a slap on the wrist.

have many people got caught in previous years?

security comes a lot, usually people check the door and holler out security and everyone underage gives their beers to someone of age. If you're smart about it you'll be fine, I did my entire contract underage.
I'm trying to think of people who got caught underage drinking...mainly it was people in the wrong housing complex after 1am that got termed.
Also as a side note, I had 2 of age roommates when I was living in wellness, so anyone can live in them as long as they agree to not have booze in the house.

i chose to go into a wellness appartment for the second half of my programme - my first appartment was fine but with 8 girls and 2 showers a bit of a nightmare, second appartment was awful 2 italians who smoked pot and screamed louldy down the phone or over the internet and a disgustingly dirty brit girl who left dirty clothing everywhere (even had a mouldy sandwich in one of her drawers ugh) another uk girl lived in an over 21 party appt and wanted out so we went and got rehoused together into a welness with a norwegian and a german girl and i have to say it was fab. we could sleep without beng intereupted through the night, and ki got on really well with my roomie and the norwegian the german not so much cos again she was untidy and dirty but after catching some cockroaches she had made come in by leaving uncovered food about and giving them to her she soon followed the sensible rules such as emptying the bins on her turn and not leaving plates of food out on the side in the kitchen

i wouldnt rush to move to a wellness appartment - it was nice to be able to have a drink but there are so many other places to drink and so many people who are happy to have a party appt and have people round there drinking

also even tho it was against the rules we did keep some alcohol in our appartment hidden away and never got caught - if we had we would have expected to be termed for it cos we knew the rules

    just to totally but in

i think wellness should have a sign on door or something like different coloured front doors, i mean its up to the people in the apartment to tell you and they may not, its a bit strange

when you move into housing you will be told if your in a wellness or not (if you move over before you turn 21 you will be put into a wellness without question and if you turn 21 while your there you then can request to move into a non-wellness) but if someone has a party etc then its more than likely that the apartment will be a non-wellness as everyone knows security will turn up and there would be no point in having any kind of party in a wellness as its too much of a risk!

it wouldnt be a very good idea to have any sort of obvious sign that an apartment was or wasnt wellness, it would cause a huge divide within the complex (as it would if you singled out any group of people for any reason!)

hmm i see what you mean, i didnt mean to imply that there should be a divide, i just meant if i happened to be going to a mates or to a party and it was in a wellness i, as well as the people in the apartment, could get termed, all because i didnt know it was a wellness. Although see what your saying about parties not being in a wellness, makes sense.

im all for everyone being together! :)

if you were going to a mates party then im sure you would know if they lived in a wellness or not?! and if you went to a random house party then youl soon figure out if its wellness (99% of the time it wont be!!) its really not a big deal, if you are over 21 then nothing to worry about, just dont drink in an apartment if you think or know its a wellness, simples!

You also have to remember that apartments can change status at any time. If an apartment totally empties out, then it can go from being a girls non-wellness to a boys wellness, all depending on what's needed with the new arrivals at the time!

I did my entire contract being underage. It wasn't as fun in some aspects, but also at the same time you didn't have a high risk of partying in your apartment. But if i get back again i'll be turning 21 down there or already be 21 and would go into non-wellness.
On my last contract i lived with 2 norwegians and they decided to play beer bong in their room. My roommate and i came home to finding are dinning room table in their room. We told them we didn't care as long as they kept it down because are apartment was right across of security. They never got caught. I also had an annoying Canadian (and yes i'm Canadian) living in are apartment who half way through her contract she decided she was done with Disney and thought she'd leave in a storm. She left half her stuff behind and decided to have a party and brought over lots of beer. I woke up the next morning and found the beer cans everywhere. Next thing i know security is knocking at the door to make sure she had left the apartment.. and they found all the cans of beer lying everywhere. There was a security guy and a guy from Housing.. and they brought me down for questioning. I couple days later i had a housing meeting getting a housing warning.
Normally they'd terminate you there on the spot, but i explained that i literally just got up and found it there.. and it was my ex roommates. Unlucky for me it was Molson Canadian, i was the only person in the apartment at the time and i was Canadian.. but i was lucky enough to not get termed.
I knew tons of people that had alcohol in their apartments through the program who were underage, but as long as your not stupid you'd be fine. (Don't leave empties lying around.. keep it hidden somewhere)

I did the staying in a wellness after turning 21 and it was great cuse my roomates were fantastic. However, after a while depending on how you want to live your lifestyle. If you want to party and have fun then its just easier to bei n a nonwellness as you can ahve your own booze etc. Was a hassle for me keeping mine at other apartments (part of the reason why I moved). However, if your not a drinker than just stay where your comfortable :).
