This question is for anyone that has a car in FL. I am from Ontario- and I may have an opportunity to have a car with me in Florida when I go down... but I just wanted some questions cleared up before I took that step. a) - Is it extremly expensive for insurance? b) - How does it work with your license and license plates? - Is it easy to switch it over? c) - Is it worth having a car in FL - or too expensive? If anyone could give me some insight into this - or their own personal experience that would be much appreciated!!! Thanks so much --- kelly
I don't have a car but I can answer B and C B} Your license because you are from Canada works fine, you don't need to get an American License. Your license plates, you will generally have to switch over to Florida plates, so you will need to register your car down here. But someone with a car can you give you more details there. C} It is sooooooo worth having a car. The bus system though helpful is shit, its good for getting to work but that is about it. Cheers
Thanks soooo much for that help.... I heard the transit system is not the greatest and I am glad to get insight from someone there already!
Kel, I am from New brunswick and I am driving my car down. Whatever the cost is I hear it is so worth it. If you drive and you driving alone? Do you have any idea how long of a drive it is from Ontario. I am driving alone and I think it's about 3.5 days from here...
