    Hello everyone,
I'm from Australia, and will be arriving in Orlando to start my int program on Nov 26th. Just wondering if there's anyone else out there who is starting roughly the same time as me. Also, is there any lifeguards starting then, as that is what I'll be doing whilst in Disneyworld. Still can't believe I'm actually going - Crazy! Cannot wait!
Anyway... hope everyone is as excited as I am,

    Jules

    Hey Chase and Mandy,
Wonderful to meet you. What exactly are you guys working as in Orlando and what are you studying? I'm studying International studies, Commerce and French in case you were wondering. Are you travelling around the states afterwards? I'm planning on going to New York, and LA with my best friend Nadia, who is also doing the program with me - you'll love her. Hey mandy, how old are you? Just wondering because I'm only 19 hence will be staying in wellness apartment and want to know if there's any other young kids like me. Anywho, can't wait to meet you in person.
    See ya soon!

    hey Jules,
im also 19!!so we might end up together :)! i'd love to travel through the us after the program but i already kinda booked my flight back to germany.ok, i did it that way because then the whole price for the ticket is cheaper....if i buy a oneway ticket to orlando its about $300 and back its about $900 and for a round trip ticket i pay about $800 or so...but since we get money back, im guessing i get most of it and then i just go back with that money....so we could like meet up in n.y. :)
anyway, cant wait to meet you :)
    see ya out there..................
    love,
    mandy

    Hey Jules,

I'm Helen from the U.k and will be out in Orlando on 6th Dec too.
I'm 23 so would think I will be in the commons, but I'm sure we will see each other around.

Not long for you to wait now, see you in a few weeks.

    Helen xx

    Hey Mandy,
What do you mean we get money back? Is Disney paying for our flight or something? But yeah, you should meet up with us later in the US - the more the merrier right. I'm so glad there's someone else my age. I was a bit worried that I'd be one of a small underage minority, who would have to stay home reading, whilst the rest are out partying the nights away. ANwyay, best be getting to bed - must wake up at 5am to open coffee store (one of my casual jobs) - hey at least we have a plentiful supply of coffee for such a ridiculously early start.
    Bye,

    Jules

    Hey Helen,
Terrific to meet you. I think it's so cool that I'll be spending 2 months we young people from across the world. Cannot wait. You'll probably be staying with my best friend Nadia who's coming with me as she is 22. See you soon!

Hey Jules don't worry about the age thing a lot of ppl are about the same age as you, Emma from the uk is only 18 and when I last mailed her she is havin a fab time and 'loves it',

With the flight Disney will pay for your flight out there and then you pay them in full when you arrive or they will take so much out of your wage per week till you have payed it back, then once and only if you finish the contract they give you the money back. (well thats what it is like for us)

    Hope that helps. ;)

Yeab that makes sense. Cheers! So to clarify, Disney doesn't really pay for your flight free of charge. If they pay for it, you kind of get an IOU for flight which comes out of you pay. No worries. I've already paid for my flight anyway, but was just hoping I could get my money back from Disney. But, taht was just wishful thinking. Thanks for your help.

Yep Jules that was wishful thinking ;) ;)

Really Disney will pay for one way and you pay for the other!! But anyone can just sort out their own flights if they want.

I think if you there on the CP they don't pay for your flight. :-\

Hope you all have a great time!

    Hey Jules,

I was hunting around for people leaving at the same time as we would be a few months ago...
So, I leave on the 25th of November from Australia aswell... Do you know how many of us there are going?
I cannot believe we leave so soon.
I have assignmnets to do and exams and then Florida. Will be a great break.
    Where are you leaving from?
    Cheers

    Hey Jay,
Cool - another Aussie. Yeah apparently there's about 90 Australians going, but I could be wrong. I totally know what you mean about assignments and exams before Florida, not to mention fulfilling countless shifts. I'm in the same boat believe me. For the last month I've been totally flat out - I have no idea what's on tv nowadays. I think by the time I arrive in Florida I'll be absolutely knackered. EVerything's just happening so fast - I only found out I was going less than a month ago. Crazy crazy! I'm leaving from Adelaide on the 24th Nov, and then flying to Sydney, and then Osaka where we're staying overnight, and then LA for the day, and finally we arrive in Orlando on the 26th. We're flying Japan Airlines. What are you flying and where are you leaving from? Oh and what are you studying?

    hey mandy!

sydney and melbourne are cool places. you should definitely check out the Land Down Under! the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Sydney Tower etc. We also have gorgeous beaches here. Queensland is also really really pretty. but we never get a White Christmas. Its more like a sweltering hot 40 degree Christmas! lol.

i would love to check out europe though! Europe is so rich in history and architecture! In Sydney, I think there must be alot of wannabe Europeans, coz there are so many Bavarian pubs (i dunno how authentic they are though!) popping up across the city and they are the most popular hangouts on a Friday night!

oh, and my flight arrives in Orlando at 6.13am :-\. i'm gonna feel like a zombie afterwards! lol. it takes soooo long to get from Australia to Orlando!

can't wait to meet you guys there! ;D
