ANYONE PLANNING TO BOOK A VISA APPOINTMENT IN LONDON:

I have called the embassy today to arrange an interview and they NO interview date left between now and the 13th september! I managed to get in only through a cancellation and I don't even have my forms yet, hopefully they will arrive tommorow like promised! I am pissed off and so is my friend who was also trying to get a visa interview! I know how many people are leaving on the 11th September like myself who havn't got there forms yet either!

We were supposed to receive them 2 WEEKS AGO but yummy jobs failed to supply! good luck everyone

belfast is closed now - lack of staff, thats why i had togo to dublin for mine, and i leave august 28th. try goin to dublin guys, it's the only way for u lot i think now. sorry to say, but they are far nicer, and it's much more relaxed! and security are really friendly too. try there ok??!

 

Are you allowed to get your visa from Dublin if you are from the UK?

 

I've just found out that the postal service's in my local area are being hit really badly, and cause I live on a farm in the middle of no-where we have problems with post anyway! I've given myself until friday to receive the forms or else I plan to cancel/reschedule my appointment. Yummy said they sent the forms out yesterday but its looking very glum all of a sudden!! As for dublin I would be willing to travel but I think they have to submit it to an embassy with the UK. I know the worst thing that could happen is my departure would be delayed but because I booked my flight through STA I think I lose all the money for my flight!

Its a nightmare alright!

 

Yeah you cant claim your money for your flight back cause you are told not to book it before you get your Visa. Even though you are strongly encouraged to book it early and it wouldn't be much good if you had a Visa and no flight. Argggh. Ive not got my visa stuff either. Is it Yummy or Disney who are causing the hold up????

 

Is it a Q1 Visa we need?

I guess we are all going to be delayed? Fucking brilliant. Ive already been waiting a year, i don't know how much longer I can wait :'(

 

i thik u should really speak to YJ and see if they can do anything for u to get some appointments booked in otherwise ur all screwed cos uve all booked ur flights and stuff. other than that u will have to cal the emabssy every other day to see if they have any cancellations!

i think tho with sta u can make changes to ur flight but have to pay any extra it might cost - maybe u should try checking with them about it too

 

Ive already spoken to Yummy Jobs. We just need to wait and hear what Disney said. As you nicely put it we are all "screwed" by the sounds of things.

 

at the moment I'm praying on the post office! I hope they deliver the visa forms by saturday or else I'm in the shit! I feel alot for you guys and I don't want the guilt of being the only one to arrive on time!

I am truly sorry this shit has happened but the worst that can happen is that we arrive a bit later then expected! disney will understand and I wish everyone the best, I know this won't be the cancellation of our contracts but its a pain in the arse!

 

yeh, well i'm from northern ireland as far as i'm concerned, i'm in Ireland as a whole. just for the purposes of disney i'll call myslf a member of uk, even tho i hate that! I'm irish and always will be.
sorry, nyways, yeh it's fine.
no probs gettin one in dublin just have to have original visa petition, not the copy. so i'm waiting on that now, then i have to go down to dublin just to hand it in to get my passport bak!

plus with only £50 left in the bank, omg! panic!!!! i can't afford to go down there again!

 

I booked a london appointment today - only had Sept 13th! Spoke to YJ and they said to keep calling every day for a cancellation and it will all be ok. Personally I am finding it difficult to see how it is going to be ok but hey! As Todd said it isn't the end of the contracts and we may just end up getting there slightly late - but it is ridiculous that we are being put through this shit!

Todd - don't feel guilty - its not your fault. Its the luck of the draw in the end - good luck to everyone booking - see you all there (fingers crossed)

 

There is no way I am going to be able to afford another flight. I need some definite answers now. Fingers crossed for everyone

 

omg I just got back from Tenerife what is going on? Hiow are we going to be able to get the visas? Does this mean we will have to cancel and re book our flights?? I so cannot afford to do that!!

 

Ok everyone take a deep breath and chill out a lil.

I was in the same position as you guys last week, i couldn't get an appointment until the day before my departure and I rang the embassy before I had my documents.

However I rang the day I received them and got a cancellation for the next day! I have already got my passport back and am ready to go now.

Just keep calling, with the weather being the way it is there are more cancellations than usual.

Keep your chins up and everything will work out fine. Oh and by the way try and get an appointment at 8am, I was out and shopping in london by 9!!!!! It was mad!!!
