Anyone from PEI doing the I.P. Prog. right now?

I was the only islander down there , when I was working there in the Canadian Pav.. Just wondering if any other islanders are working in Florida.

 

Well I'm not from PEI but I'm close - and I'm still an islander!
I haven't had my interview yet though.

 

Good luck in Halifax. You'll have a blast if you get hired and go down to Florida.

I was down there for thirteen months from Sep 05 - Oct 06. For most of the time I was the only Islander there, but two more joined me in June 06! Haven't heard of any going since though. Ourselves, Sask. and Newfies are an endangered species there

Hey David- you have been down there for over a year. How long is your contract? How long can you stay down there? It was 15 months when I was down.

 

I got extended to 13 months, so I go home on April 20th.

It's still 15 months that's the maximum, but you have to apply for a 2 month extension to the Visa to stay that long, otherwise you can get a 1 month extension without having to apply to extend the actual visa.

And I haven't seen a green PEI pin in any throw-in hat.
