Is anyone on the waiting list going to ask to come off and reapply? Im thinking of emailing yummy to see if theres been any movement xx
I haven't. I'm gonna stay on the list, I really can't put myself through a 5th application lol. It would be interesting to know what the movement has been like though.
I no its only like 3 days until the new process starts... but I going to stay on the list. I am still hoping we will get considered with the January lot. lets hope ah. we'll be ok x
i dont think wait list people will be considered with the jan applications. they will keep you on waiting list right up til July in case anyone drops out from before then. from July onwards they will have a new wait list for those people who were wait listed from this lot of applications and they will be considered for any spaces that become open up til the next lot are due to go out if that makes sense? what you should cvonsider tho is people have been offered places startiing in a fair bit in the future like 5/6 months away ad have said yes it might well be that nearer the time they will get cold feet, get a different offer, get something happening in their persoal life (get preggers, engaged, sick etc) and cant go the biggest recruitment is usually in the run up to the summer so from May onwards they have larger arrival groups to be trained and in place for the summer craziness so you are prob gonna hear about people dropping out March/April time for those dates and the list will move a lot then. also they did recruit a huge amount from the last lot of applications as well so spaces available in this round will be less - originally jue applicants were feb-june but people got offered spots right up til dec so they will obv recruit less from, jan applicants
Thanks for the reply guys, yeah sounds like a good plan staying on it I shall let you know when i email Hannah and what she says hope your all ok xx
I emailed Hannah a couple of days ago just asking advice on what's happening. I got an auto-reply saying Yummy are out of the office 'til the 4th of Jan so may be quite a while for a reply. I'll post if when I get any news. Dan
Oh actually whilst im on here, has anyone noticed/had this problem. On the yummy jobs site, when you select from the drop down menu how many years experience you have and save it, then you go back in to look at it, it keeps defaulting back to zero???
We've been told that we're on the waitlist until the end of March. So I'm assuming that is when the next round of applications are over and done with, and we are replaced with the new waitlistee's.
that would kinda make sense cos when i emailed them about time scales i was told phone interviews end of jan and f2f end of feb so it takes a bit for them to make their decisions and get back to you so end of march would be whe they knew how many from this round are through tbh if i was on the waitlist i dont know what i would do last time i was on the wait list i emailed them straight away and asked about if i could come off the list and reapply ad they were like hang on for a couple of days then the next day i got an email telling me i had a place - i think tho on that round they must have sorted people into yes / no piles - then gave all the nos emailed then all the yeses had wait list emails and then they took them off as they filled the spaces prob because people were driving them nuts calling and emailing asking when the results would be out lol my expeirence of dealing with yummy is they are very very good at getting back to you and fairly quickly. i would imagine you will hear back from them by end of the week which still gives you plenty of time to put ya application in if you decide to come off the list and reapply - i would prob write my cover letter and update my cv ready tho just in case so you can put it in straight away
its esp daft when the cv etc says the complete opposite - i did email kristen but out of office till 5th which is when i apply ha ha makes us look stupid
Hey - I think if any of use waitlistee's are wanting to ask a few questions, it's best that we ring their office. I emailed Hannah just before Christmas, and she said if I have any questions, for me to give the office a ring. In Jan, they'll probably be swamped with applications and inquiries, so a phone call will be better. I asked her what is the minimum notice they give, before shipping people off to Disney, and she said a minimum of four weeks.
Hi guys!! Hope all is well and we're all keeping spirits up and what not ;D Well I just got a reply from Hannah from the email I sent. Seems quite promising - but I'm told the golden rule is don't reapply as it gives Disney the wrong impression and is basically pointless. Offers are still being extended as we speak and there's still a good possibilty we may be offered a position. And I quote: "We are currently discussing with Disney the application dates for this year as it may be a little different to last year. As soon as we have confirmation on dates from Disney we will be in touch with you and all those on the Opportunity List by email with further information." So we will get some sort of response from Yummy soon. Hope this makes everybody feel a little better. Dan
I did but I found that if you made the changes, saved it and then left it for a day, the next day the correct details had saved!
Thanks Dandan, hopefully that's good news for us. At least they haven't forgotten us and I really hope we get some info soon!x
Thanks for letting us know, Dan. BTW, do you know there's a facebook group for all the CRP people? I rang up Yummy yesterday too, mainly to change some details and was also told not to bother with coming off the list. I can't believe I was actually nervous to ring.. A mumbling wreck lol. I'm just so like worked up about the situation, but now feeling pretty positive. I hope we all get off it. Good luck everyone!!!
