Hiya Im going over on december 4th to work in food and beverage in the uk pavillion, but i wondered sometime into my stay does anyone whos done the program know if theres any chance they will let me swap jobs to be a lifeguard? as thats one of my jobs at the moment and i'd like the opportunity to do that out there. If anyone knows please let me know x
From what i've heard its very hard to get a job change, unless its for medical reasons once you have your offer especially if you are out on CRP, as the crp is also limited by visa requirements.
Oh right thanks for letting me know, i might mention it to them anyway that if their ever short staffed i could do it.
i think the crp's have to stay at epcot in the pavillions. im icp for 6 months and i wanted to change jobs when i first got here but they said u have to complete 30 days then its up to the area if they will let u move because they pay for your training and you can only move to somewhere that needs extra staff. i havnt know of anybody who has actually managed to change jobs yet.......
Oh right, i might try anyway see if im the first to have such luck! lol im not disappointed with f and b but id like a chance to do lifeguarding as well, i mean might as well if im trained. Also bit different being a lifeguard over there in the gorgeous sun than in the skanky leisure centre im in atm!! lol x x
Ciara, if your not from America i have heard you can't lifeguard anymore i have no idea why, but i am a lifeguard 2 and asked and they sed that it wouldn't b possible might b different wen we r out there il b in UK merch from 16th oct, il try find out xxxx
you can lifeguard on different programs but you WILL NOT be able to be a lifeguard or any other role if you are on the CRP. the visa you are on will only allow you to work in the United Kingdom pavillion at Epcot. You can only do F&B or Merch. So if you think F&B isnt for you, there may be a chance to change to work in Merch, but only in locations in the UK pavillion. Make sure you know about you're program before you actually leave!!
