    hi guys

dont know if anyone's families, friends, partners etc are planning in visiting more than once while we are at disney but ive found that a disney annual pass is cheaper than a 14 day hopper ticket here in england. its not really mentioned on the websites but i thought it may be useful. ;D

I may be wrong with this but I think you may have to be a Florida/Georgia resident to get an annual pass.

Theme Park Annual pass for Everyone: $499.

Florida residents get a somewhat bigger discount. Premium passes cost more. Do CRPs get discounts on the annual passes?

I have a vague recollection that all CMs get discounts on annual passes (just like they do on park hoppers and such).

Can your family use an annual pass though if you have purchased it?

I was thinking if I ended up there, the free days you get for your family just wouldn't bee enough as there are so many in my immediate family

You can always try to beg, borrow, steal or bribe those who don't need their passes. I read you get like 16 each calender year (total of 32 if you are there in two CYs). But I don't know if that is true.

tickets you purchase can be used by anyone as long as it is the same person using the ticket each time.
i.e. Say you buy a discounted annual pass. Your Dad can use that pass to get into the parks. Your mum wouldn't be able to use that same ticket to get into the parks, she would need her own ticket. I don't think there was a limit on how many passes you could buy either.

Complimentary passes are non-transferable and cannot be sold to another person. The rules state that you must accompany your guest at all times UNLESS they are a member of your immediate family or your partner. You are responsible for any actions carried out by your guests.

the main gate pass requires you to sign them in the free passes they give out at xmas and the summer holidays do not

you usually get 2 free tickets which can be used in any park they have your name on them but they can be given away for free to someone else to use if you want. i had my old room mates tickets as she didnt want them and after my contract ended me and a friend used them to go visit disney before coming home.

generally you will get 4 of these passes in a year and they have an expiry date on them of around 2 years

CMs do but their friends and family don't!

Does anyone know if the participant CRPs (Arribas, etc.) also get discounts on passes? I know they get 2 Passes for winter and 2 for summer - which isn't a lot if the family comes (and we are coming - just booked this morning).

Yeah they do, you just maingate them. You get your maingate card in the first couple of weeks and on that get 16 (I think, never used all of mine) per year. You can let in 3 other people, so can let in 3 people (not inclulding yourself, you just use your cast ID and get in free anyway), 16 times. Only blockouts as far as I know are Christmas/NY week and maybe 4th July weekend (but I knew a girl who's fams came out at Christmas and she just got everyone to print their comp tickets (the ones someone said has the 2 year experation date) off in return for something.) The pass you get from the maingate is a one day park hopper.

If you have more than 3 family members coming at a time you can either print off your comp tickets for them, or, you'll probably have a friend who can get them in (no one ever uses all of their maingates, so most don't mind giving a few away)

    Re: Annual passes

Thanks for the info. But according to my information, Arribas participants do not get maingate passes. They get something else. They themselves get in, but have very limited free passes. (Downside of being with Arribas). However, if they have good friends, maybe it will work out anyway.

Is it better to buy your annual passes, such as Universal, when your out there? Reason I'm asking is I wouldn't mind buying one before I go then it's one less thing to buy when I get there! Anyone done this before?? :D xxx

I bought the only annual passes i wanted, for Universal, on the first visit to universal within days of getting there (because i knew id soonhave no money left). I think it cost about $90 dollars and i got my moneys worth within a month.

I never bothered with seaworld as you couldnt pay me to visit that place, and it was buttons to get into the disney water parks with your cast discounts.

$90! Bargain! Mine was $150 and that was Florida Resident (which they don't really do for Disney peeps anymore). Most people I know paid around $200 this last year and that's the cheapest 2 park one you can get (you have to get the 2 parks...Universal has The Mummy and Rip Rocket, Islands has Spiderman, Hulk and HPLand :-D).

If you can get it beforehand that'd be good as I know people who don't buy it for ages as they have to specificaly save up the money for it. Just beware that it'll probably run out before your program's up.

The Universal Annual Passes are $229.99 online for non-Florida residents! What!? It's $159 for those in Florida. Can we really buy the Florida residents one? I'd like to buy an annual pass but I'm not paying over $200 for it!

I got Florida resident last year, but then more recently they've been really picky about it. When my friend tried they said you had to have a Florida drivers license (which is utterly rediculous, what about those that live in Flo without a car!?), but if you think about it, a days single is about $80, so you only need to go a few times to make up the money...and I went at least 6.

Bare in mind my $90 annual pass was back in 2007 when the economy hadnt imploded so you occasionally got a good deal!

Mine was a florida resident for about 100$, but it was a buy today and get the rest of the year free deal, so we bought them in march and they lasted until Decemeber black out dates started. other ppl bought the more expensive one because it includes tickets to halloween horror nights...
