hello ! i'm new here, i'm french canadian so sorry if my english looks bad ! I went on http://disney.go.com/disneycareers/wdwcareers/ 2 weeks ago and found out that we could apply for a job at disney ... so that's what i did ( i send out my resumé yesterday). I just found out this web site today, as i was reading the post on the discussion board i realised that some interviews were happening in november so my question is am I too late ??? Also i did not send an employement application with my resumé , is was not specified on the website so, i'm confused..! :-\ I was also wondering if they only take people who are 100 percent bilingual??? because I understand English perfectly , I can read perfectly but I have more difficulties when it is for speacking, I mean i'm not that bad, but i do some mistakes... :-[

    thanks !

    hey joelle!
if your spoken english is as good as your written than don't worry!! it's really good! and when i think back on some of the other internationals and their english, then well, your english needs to be anything but perfect!
and there will be interviews again early next year i guess (not so sure about canada, but someone can answer that for sure! hehe), so that shouldn't be a problem either!!
    good luck with your application!

    later! flavour xoxo

    Hey Joelle!

first off breathe!! You aren't too late as in Canada they hold 2 sets of interviews, 1 for the west which just happened in October and 1 for the east which will probably be happening in the spring time. go to http://www.cast-a-way.com. That is who you apply through in Canada. Your resume might get sent to them through Disney recruiting but it would probably be safe to email/fax it to Eric at castaway as well. I just went through the whole process so feel free to ask anything else you need to know!

    Joelle,
So did you apply to castaway then? I thought you had only applied to Disney directly? Make sure that you email/fax your resume directly to Eric at Castaway becasue even when I did that I had to get ahold of him to make sure he didn't forget about my application.

    Hi there,

Nope, not too late at all. Matter of fact, the Disney "finals" interviews will be in March 2005 for Toronto and Montreal.

    :)

hey! :) I did send it to cast- a - way but not by fax or e- mail , I send it by mail ... should I re- send it by internet?? maybe it would be better because i did not even specified on my resumé what program i wanted to apply for, i mean i just apply for a job in the international program.. :\ the web site disney.go was really not giving much details about how to apply for a job except that it was at least giving the right adress to apply! :)
    thanks

Joelle, that should be fine to mail it to them, just might want to get in touch with Eric in a few weeks to make sure he got it. but then again I was paranoid when I sent mine! but it worked!

    Hey Joelle,

When I applied this past summer I mailed in my cover letter and resume, and didn't hear anything back until I emailed Cast A Way, at which point they told me to fill out the online application on their website. You should probably try doing that since it seems to be the way they prefer. But definitely email them to follow up if you've mailed it in.

    Good Luck!

I just send it by e -mail, to eric at cast- away.@total.net... I think that by sending it by e mail and mail should be fine , if I re send it by their web site they will begin to think that i'm crazy or something! ;D how long did it take before you recieved any news from them?
i want that job so bad!! :D

    thanks

    Hi Joelle... Welcome.

I filled out the online application at cast-a-way.com back in July. I emailed Eric a few weeks later just to tell him that I had used the online application. He called be at the beginning of August and said that it wouldn't be a problem for my to attend the interviews in Calgary in October. When he called, he asked me to send him my resume. His direct email, which was up on the Cast-a-way site the last time I checked, was eric@cast-a-way.com.

    Good Luck!
