I just found this video http://www.vimeo.com/846768 of the Aladdin musical at California Adventure, It's suuu funny! If I was a guy I'd have just found my new career aim - to play Genie in this hehe! Only 20mins of it sadly as the poster has an upload limit but a damm good 20 minutes! Enjoy!
I have seen this show in person several times - it is great entertainment and well worth lining up for!! Genie always steals the show and he's a real favorite with the crowd for sure. His script/jokes change each time with what's going on in the news/entertainment industry etc. - a really good laugh. The theatre is huge and they don't have any trouble filling it up. This video is great! Thanks!
Wow that looks so good, they should have a show like that at WDW. I would like to see that in person, it does look amazing and i would love to play Genie.
awwww i love aladdin!! there should def be a show in WDW too!! does anyone remember the hunchback of notre dam show that was in MGM quite a few years ago...?? i feel like it may have been a dream as noone ever knows what im goin on about! lol and one day it just disappeared x x
I remember the Hunchback show the last year it was running was my very 1st WDW trip, it was such a good show. My family still have a very old video of it lurking somewhere in the back of our cabinet which we break out when we want a smile
I remember my wee sis throwing up and then fainting while watching the Hunchback show. We stayed and watched while my mum disappeared with her. Dont think those around us were to impressed ;D loved the show tho xx
haha my sister did a similar thing when we were really young and decided to feint as the little mermaid show doors opened to the auditorium! we'd been queuing for hours and all i could do was cry because we didnt get to see ariel!! : ( the hunchback show was fab tho and another one that really upsets me is when they got rid of the tarzan show at animal kingdom as that was sooo my favourite!! tarzan and jane were amazing on all those ropes and now we have scary talkign turtles..... booo
I saw this show in November when I was there and I loved it!! The Genie was definitely the best part. He got the loudest applause at the end lol
i remember the hunchback show, i always wanted to play esmarelda or however you spell it!!! im hoping they will bring it back cause i havent seen them do anything with the space and it always seemed to be full!!!
A few of us were only talking about the disappearing Hunchback show the other day at MGM (i'll get shot as a cast member for not saying Hollywood Studios, buts its MGM; always will be!) They closed it due to people not remembering/knowing what the Hunchback of Notre Dame (just like getting rid of Back to the Future @ Universal) but they are currently changing the space into a High School Musical show/area. I'd rather they didn't.. one HSM parade is enough, and I avoid that at all costs as it is!
I guess hsm is better than nothing, but hunchback would be better. Is the parade bad then cause i thought the first movie was quite good, second wasnt though!!
hehe i love high school musical because its soooooo bad that its fabulous!! hehe id love to see the show as the parade is hilarious!! good for a giggle anyway.... ;D but yeah bring back hunchback or tarzan! x x
Yes... Tarzan was a REALLY good show... But wait until you see what they replaced it with. Some people love it... Some people hate it... Me? I THINK IT'S FLIPPIN AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!
Finding Nemo is frickin awesome if you take it for what it is - a big broadway style production with amaaazing sets and costumes. I sneaked a look at rehearsals once it was sooo cool! Practically, in a theme park situ I think it's a bit too long for a lot of people. Especially if they are standing at the back of a packed house for an hour (once you allow for getting in and out). Plus there's a lot of prejudice against this style of music which doesn't help when you have so so so many peole there who are tired and have even more tired children and no=on eis exactly sure what to expect... and the benches are uncomfortable and the vision rubbish if you're a shortie! Tarzan was more universally appealing and shorter. And had a half naked hottie in it.
I love Tarzan Rocks. It was my favourite show at WDW (with the exception of The Festival of the Lion King). I never got the chance to see Finding Nemo whilst I was there but I am trying not to judge without seeing it but it is hard.
