Hey Peeps, Does anyone know if we have air conditioned apartments and for work , or else we will all die in the heat???????????????????????????????

The apartments are very well air conditioned....mine is always freezing!! so much so that sometimes I have to put on a jumper!! In the shops and the rose and crown the air con is good....altho not so great in HRC where the ceiling is higher so the cool air doesn't circulate as well!! Cast Services is the best...when you're all sweaty walking back from work....it's such a relief to get in there!! You're getting here at quite a good time actually...I think the highest heat of summer has passed and it's supposed to get much more bearable in september/october!!! Ellen x x x
can we control the air conditioning/heat temperature in our own apartment or does the front office control the whole complex? and we do have heat for those cold winter nights right?
The air con has a temperature control......some controls are easier to work than others...mine's crap!! I just turn it off if I get too cold! Ellen x x x
There is heat, but I don't think we were supposed to use it. It never gets used that much so it always smelt like burning in our apt. cause of the dirt in all the ductwork. Apparently they told us we were supposed to us it cause it could cause fires. Just sleep in warmer jammies, or find someone nice and warm to cozy up too (I used to call my bf my little space heater cause he was always warm!!!). And the AC everywhere you go in Florida is FREEZING, so NEVER go to a restaurant or the movies without some sort of sweater...you will turn to ice...then you'll go outside and melt and then you'll get sick. yeah definatly - especialy for the night time, sometimes it can get pretty cold if your out and about ;D
It can get FREEZING in the winter at night. I brought my winter coat with me and YES, I did wear it. I remember sitting at throw-outs under sleeping bags and just shivering!!! IT DOES GET COLD IN FLORIDA!!! Not as cold as home, but you adapt to the heat and then FREEZE when it gets slightly cold. You will need some sweaters and a jacket. Shan
