SMILE! Lots. Write or type down facts about your home town and have it in front of you. Have your CV in front of you as well so you know what they're going on about! It's just like an informal chat. Like you're talking to a friend! When Hannah called me we talked about where we lived in our time in WDW!
Best advice is to smile (they can hear it in your voice) and remember to breathe and speak slowly. Try to avoid saying the "ummms". Just have a good time with it. Good luck.
Hello Bombaby-Sapphire! (Love that name, and the drink lol) Congratulations! Be yourself, easier said than done I know, but try and relax its your time to shine, the 1-2-1 interview is in sight, make sure you know some stuff about your home town, I was asked to sell Liverpool, so you may be asked to do something similar. And yes SMILE! They will certainly be able to tell. Best of Luck for it, let us know the outcome. Graeme.
alright mate, for my F2F (but same applies to phone interviews really) i just kept thinking of answers to questions like the ones on this topic: http://www.wdwip.com/smf/index.php?topic=6381.0 some people may have their phone interview before you, in which case (if they're nice enough like our lot was ) they might share the questions they were asked which will give you an indication of what they'll probably ask you also, i think the main bit is just to be really chatty, enthusiastic, friendly etc good luck!
I am shitting myself! I really really really want this so much now!!!! Well i always did but i feel as though i can taste it now!! HA! Okay so know lots about my hometown, enthusiasm, smile and basically charm le pants off them. gotcha anything else?
your basically in and out in five minutes, I wasn't even asked about my hometown in the face to face, just asked where my favourite place was that i'd travelled to and my favourite disney character..
As some people have already said, the most important thing is to be positive, enthusiastic and to smile! ;D
pretty much i'm just repeating what everyone else said but this is how mine went (I'm from Canada): So she asked routine questions like my email address, age, if I had a passport, where I'd heard of the program and if I wanted to work in food & beverage, attractions or merchandise. I said food and beverage. Then she asked why I wanted to work for Disney, and to tell her something about Canada and then my hometown. It was really fast and i couldn't believe it was over just like that. My heart was racing the whole time but she was very friendly! Just show your enthusiasm!
Have a think about what you like about your hometown, what you'd tell someone who'd never been there, and why you're so proud of where you come from. Say that you're really passionate about where you live and how keen you are to share this with other people. Smile!!! and relax. It's a very informal chat. You'll find yourself getting carried away no doubt and chattering on. And put a disney ringtone on your mobile because it sounds great when that phone call comes through
