Hi Natali, yea we get free access to all the theme parks inc water parks. I think the only time you would pay to get in is on Christmas day(although unsure.) ;D. Thats part of the perks though free entry whenever you want!! Woo Hoo!!!  ;D

I agree blizzard beach is most definately the best water park - think its cause theres like sand where your loungers are so ure feet dont get burnt on concrete - thats the worst!!

You can't get into the water parks with your ID :-\. You have to pay for tickets. But I think you can get them at a discounted rate! :D

yeh i thought that you had to pay for the water parks just like downtown disney stuff.

What i want to know is if we could perhaps queue jump in the parks? Do they let you do that? Its not for me because im there for three months so have plenty time to queue but my family are visiting for a week and it would be so much better if they didnt have to queue!

Yeah guys! Sadly the water parks aren't free - there are discount days - and are usually over the winter months when it's colder and the paying guests start going elsewhere. You can get into the four disney parks for free (which includes free parking if you're with family, or something) but again, be aware of 'black out days' such as over Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year, and July 4th. It's not worth risking going then because you could lose your job! D'OH! It's common sense really... the paying guests come first...

Feeona - it is free to go to Downtown Disney for everyone - and Pleasure Island is free on Monday and Sunday nights for cast members. As for queue jumping - your disney ID acts as your park ticket which you can put into the Fast Pass machines at some attractions, and then get a time issued to return to the attraction and go to the front of the line. This is available to all guests though. You cannot simply queue jump because you work there! Paying guests come first - and if you're there for a day out - you're treated like everyone else! It would be bad for paying guests to see cast members getting special treatment - my advice is go when it's quiet, and if you're going with your family and have to get round the parks in a day then use the Fast Passes!

    Hope this all helped...

    Have fun!

The water parks only cost like 4 bucks for cast members, so don't worry about it!

Actually they've changed the rules now so the water parks aren't discounted all year around for cast members. Normal price is something like $32 I think. At certain times of the year you get it for $10 and at certain times you get it for under that but usually thats in Jan where its too cold to go in the water

Well, I used to just walk in through the cast memebers entrance like I worked there.

You can also get terminated for walking through the cast entrance like you're going to work.
In the Magic Kingdom, you can only get into the park via guest entrance. Disney/MGM Studios security is pretty picky- unless you specify that you're in the entertainment department (and they'll check your ID to see if you have the Entertainment Department ID number) and can give proof that you're working then, they'll make you go to the front entrance. Epcot is tricky- I've never figured out how to get to the guest entrance, but they're pretty lenient (sp?) about letting you through. And Disney's Animal Kingdom, it's easier to walk through the guest entrance than the cast entrance.
Besides, it's more fun to walk through the guest entrances sometimes. Like with Disney/MGM Studios, it's fun to look down the street and see the hat!

yeah id rather walk in the guest enterance. after all youre not working, so y would you want to limit the disney experience by going thru the cast door?!?

plus id imagine it must be fun seeng people look at you when you take out your cast id card!lol attention seeker that i am!

People don't notice the difference. The only time they notice it is when you're buying something.
The card is the same weight and size as the guest IDs (used as a room key, credit card, ticket, etc). The only thing that might make you stand out is the fingerprint scan (I'm not kidding...they have a fingerprint scan that you have to do...)

Lol Lindsey!!!! Im the same - Id want everyone to know that I work there!!!

Do they seriously fingerprint scan all staff!?!? Then again Im pretty sure that all guest tickets have fingerprint scans on them now and have to be checked upon entrance to the parks!! I guess its all about security!!!

Nope. Guests don't get scanned. It's a cast member thing...kind of freaky when you don't know how to do it, and you're holding up the lines...
They started doing fingerprinting on EVERYONE when the whole Tigger thing happened... :-\
