Has anyone heard the rumour that there is apparently a fifth disney accomodation that is currently being built and should be finished this summer? Just wondered if anyone else had heard about it..Apparently at the interview's they asked people whether they would mind living in a different accomodation to what they did before..A new one that was being built..
I never heard anything about it last summer/fall when I was there and you would assume they would have been working on it then... but you never know... anyone else?
I thought that as well when my mate told me..But its pretty big florida i suppose..maybes its not near the others.. Apparently as well there used to be another water park that shut down and its still near downtown disney now all over grown..I hadn't really heard of that but everyone used to mention it when we were in florida..
There was another water park, I went there the first time I went to florida about 10 years ago. It was actually very close to the Magic Kingdom because it was right next to a big lake and you could see Cinderella castle on the other side of the lake. I think it was called River Country or something. I wasn't the best but it was ok.
When I was in my f2f with Jeni I was told if I got in I would probably be staying in new accommodation, and she said it was REALLY nice I asked if we would still be close to the other accom and she said yes, and that we wouldn't feel left out or anything, so it's all good
Cool..well thats good then..But technically vista way and chattam are really close..But because of all the hotels and lakes you'd have to walk all the way round and it would take ages..Close in florida could be miles i reacon! Also do you have to do interviews in two's now? Because my mate did his with someone else at the same time..Hope i don't have to do that..
Yeah I had my interview with another person. I'd much rather have been alone, but it was good to have someone to talk to afterwards about it!
Cool..i don't really know what questions to expect although i heard that apparently they just go through your cv with you..It wasn't like they were pitting you against each other was it?
no it definately not them pitting you against each other, it was more like a 3 way chat, e.g. I got asked where I'd travelled to recently so I talked about that, and then the girl I was with (I think her name was Erika) got asked the same thing. But we didn't always get asked the same questions. We both got asked why we want to work for Disney, but then we got asked different questions about work experience. For me they concentrated on my previous job as a waitress and if I had ever gone out of my way to help a customer. The whole interview only lasted about 15 mins if that! I think they 'just know' if you're right for Disney, so be happy and cheerful, and keep smiling even when you think no-one is watching! I haven't actually got in yet so I don't know how well I did, but I hope all of this helps!
Totally agree with Charlotte. I thought the idea was crazy at first but to be honest they have a cheek to call it an interview lol! Luckily I kinda knew the girl I was interviewed with but even if u don't know them, as Charlotte said it's like a 3 way chat! Plus they ask u both different questions. Don't worry about it at all, it's so relaxed and informal and only lasts 15 mins if ur lucky! Claire x
Yeah..i did it last year for my college program interview..but i just can't really remember what happened! I just hope my job goes on my record from last time..coz i think i should of got a good one i got on really well with the supervisors and everyone that i worked with..
so you have even more experience than us!!! lol. Hope it goes well, I'm sure you'll do good. Just be prepared for a long wait afterwards!
I heard once about a new complex which was near Mall of Millenia and quite expensive. They discussed it here on the board but I have no clue where.
Yeah..i was last year..But to be honest..this time last year i'd already been offered the job a month or two ago and done my criminal backgrounds check and booked my visa interview! So i have been abit slower this year!
I first sent my CV last August, had my phone interview in September, f2f in Feb, and here I am 4 weeks later, still not knowing!!!!!!!!!!!
I actually was just sad and looked at my emails and i got offered the job last year on the 2nd december and had already found out i was going to be flying from manchester by the 20th december! wish i'd got everything sorted early again this year..so i could relax a little more..
Which program is it that you're applying for? Coz I'm applying for the 6 month one and I think everyone applying for that had interviews in feb, I don't think they had interviews for it last year. Don't know though, could be wrong!
Im applying for the 12 J1 Academic Program..Are you doing the thing where you have to go to the UCF one day a week or something? Because i have heard thats new this year..
