Hey everyone, was just wondering if you could advise on what would be the best for when my parents / family visit next year.

They are not sure if they should book the accommodation over here (uk) or wait for me to get their and book it for them. Does anyone have any idea approx how how much it would be if i was to book it over there? the only other thing is that they wouldnt want just room only, because once when we were there we got a apartment which had a kitchen etc.(they are taking my cousin whos only 2)

    Thanks Helen x ;D

Comfort Inn, Lake Buena Vista - my family and friends stayed there when they came to visit!
Not to expencive + you get castmember discount.
You can get great deals on other disney hotels too, so wait till you know when they are gonna come visit and then start looking around!
    Use your discount!!!!!!!!

Wait until you get there. Look into the resorts that are in the vacation club (Saratoga Springs is the newest, Wilderness Lodge Villas, Boardwalk Villas, Old Key West, etc.). They all have kitchenettes and you can often get ones that sleep more than 4.

And if you are interested in becoming a Disney Vacation Club member, you can get a cast member discount!!! My family joined while I was there.

You don't have to be a member of the Vacation Club to stay in the resorts...as long as there is space open, anyone can book a room there. To join the club, you have to go through the presentation, etc. as it is actually buying real estate.

Sara...we ALWAYS had our vacations to Disney...for like 15 years I think!!! But we had a motorhome, so never considered a timeshare. I'm not a 100% sure what we got off...I want to say 15%??? We got in on the opening of Saratoga Springs and they were giving an even better deal. We bought 150 points and basically ended up paying in Canadian what we would have paid in American full price, so we saved the 25% exchange. Did that make any sense? It was a REALLY good deal. Like if we were going to buy it normally no discount it might have cost us $15,000US, but with the cast member discount and the pre-sale deals, we might have paid $15,000 CDN. Those figures aren't right, but you get the idea. You should look into it. We have family friends that live in Tampa and they decided to buy as well, they just put my name on the deed and got the discount as well. They'll just have to pay some real estate fees later to get my name taken off. It's a great deal.
