Hey guys and girls! Searching through my photo albu,s the other day I found a few photos of my bedroom in the Commons. I didn't have a room-mate at thos time so spread out a bit across the space. but then I got a German room-mate and decided to be the UK lad I was and not take anything down when he arrived! After all, he was a german! so..... Being a DJ, I went out and bought a set of turnables one night with a few other UK lads. We set them up at a few parties, which by the way in case you didn't know is totally against Commons rules! But when we had an apartment inspection, the geezer was more concerned with me having a huge Canadian flag pinned to my ceiling than the turntables and speakers, along with about 60 records in my room!!! So everyone decorates their bedrooms in their own style, some put hundreds of photos up, others fill it with stolen road signs, me, I decided to make it as British as I could, which really annoyed the French, Italian and German room-mates I had, but who cares!! UK Lads ruled the roost!

hey geeza, I worked in F&B, and no, I didn't have a car, although a couple of the guys did. If you want to get a car, get it sorted ASAP when you get to Orlando, the sooner the better. Book your test and learn your theory stuff, in fact, if your serious about driving your own motor out there, start learning the US road test book now. And you won't arrive and be a UK lad, you have to be initiated first! Something I did twice! (don't ask!! )
These kinda comments make me want to hold out for a few more years and go when im 21!!!!!!!! you sound like you did it the English way which sounds Great! One of my concerns with applying was i would have to spend a year with a couple of germans! daunting thought! Sounds like you had a blast!
OK first question, wiggam why so many photos of your room? I can only find one of mine As for waiting until you're 21, UK lads and lasses do not have an age thing even if the country doesn't. Just don't be stupid and get caught (I still remember having to drag certain underage people through security without anyone realising they were drunk). People tend to be lax within the commons but outside they're not (and never try and buy alcohol without some sort of ID - some people I knew over there had fake ones but investigate when you get there if this is what you want). Don't be stupid with it though. Could get you deported.
wowwee those pics are cool....u're room looks huge but i guess those were taken before ur roomie arrived rite? i cant wait to get there and decorate my bedroom it feels just like university again...woooo....
This is not a Lads apartment!!!! It's too clean!!! Way to take the pics AFTER you cleaned Wiggum!!!! I happened to spend a lot of time in the apartment shared by two on the right in that pic...I don't think I EVER saw it that clean!!! I miss my lads. Shan
