Hiya Everyone ;D I have got the events job and this position is for a year long. I start in June 2006. Although i am MEGA excited there is a few questions i have that i hope someone will be able to help me with. Obviously family will be coming to visit so how flexible is disney with time off? Also i will not be 21 on arrival and was wondering what it was really like if anyone could reply and give me a little insight to what life may be like for me. I have never lived away from home before. Thanx a bunch Nichola x
I really believe Disney is fair with time off. Better than any other company I've worked for, with regards to that. But one must keep in mind when the park is super busy and you're understaffed, you most likely won't get the time off. Plan well in advance and you're fine. Also, they are like an insurance company, sometimes you have to submit your request for time off more than once. Or they may tell you to try again in a few days/weeks. Was never fully denied a request. All in all, I think they are awesome about time off. There is no "you must work so many days and then you can have X number of days off" It's great. BUT, that's just my opinion! Cheers
yeah, i agree actually, i thought they were great with regards to time off, whether it was ADO's ER's or Back to Backs etc, never really got knocked back, as you say though, if the parks jam packed then....maybe they'll need you paul
I am also under 21, and I was wondering the same thing about what the situation will be like? Also, does a whole year in Florida seem like too much? or does it just give you enough time to do everything you wanted to do? ;D
personally, i thought it was the best year, and also the quickest of my life...........time flies when you're having fun, so i felt i could've done with a lot longer.
it probably gives you alot more independance aswell, cause your in a different country and you would be going out alot aswell
