Ok, so I've read through as much as I can using the search engine to answer a lot of my questions, but I have some follow up ones.... I haven't even applied yet, but I want to know exactly what I'm getting myself into... 1. I read about bringing a bike (Now I know that they don't allow bikes in the commons, and that you can't ride on the freeway)...is there not a side part of the road you could ride on? So basically is it absolutly impossible to ride your bike to work? I heard that it was about an hour to get there by bike...but it takes 1.5 hours by bus anyway? Jorden, I'm also from edmonton, so i was wondering if you could give me an approximation of distance using Edmonton landmarks of where Epcot is versus the Commons...like Ikea to Kingsway? 2. I got a job recently at Old Spaghetti Factory, I start tonight acctually, in order to see if I would want to work as a server, and in order to gain experience so to improve my chances....do you think this will improve my chances at getting employed? Thanks!
As for riding your bike to work- I don't think thats possible. Someone can correct me if Im wrong though. 1 and a half hours by BUS? Where did u read this?
It might be a 1 and a half hour rount trip if you take into account going to all the apartment complexes, It is probably about 10 or 15 minutes direct. I have ready that they dont allow you to ride your bike on your roads in the disney resort.
Hey I actually don't know Edmonton all that well but I'd say something like the UofA campus - WEM by Fox Drive/Whitemud Drive would be a pretty good guestimate of the roads/time it would take to get to Epcot from the Commons. The experience will probably help you when you actually get to Florida since you won't be learning serving from scratch and will probably be able to advance a little quicker. When are you applying/planning on going down? It's actually about a half hour to work, and a 1 hour round trip by bus (depending on your complex and park you work at).
Well I applied already, but I don't graduate until December, so they told me to apply again in July/August, so that I can start between Feb-June next year. I know it's quite a ways off, but I like to know what I'm getting myself into exactly, so there's no major surprises. ...that and I don't have much to do at work, so I might as well occupy my time somehow right?
yeah exactially, theres no problem with finding out things in advance like that, at hey at least with the fall interviews you'll be having it in Calgary instead of down east.
