Well ok, the reason I came here was to introduce myself but also hoping to talk to a few people. My case is a bit different than yours. Let me explain... Two years ago, I wanted to try out for the Cultural Representative program. But a certain event prevented it. So I tried back in October, got an interview in November. I went to it, but after mature reflexion I declined the offer. Why? Because I had a bigger project : live in the USA with my mom and bro. So I worked on preparing our arrival to the USA. And here we are for the past month now. We went to the Casting Center, my brother and I, and the same day we were hired. I will be working in Merchandise at the World Traveler shop between the french and english pavilion and my brother will work in attractions at La Nouba Cirque du Soleil.... So anyways... Disney is in our blood, since my parents actually met at the german pavilion back in 1983. Oh yeah by the way, my name is Melanie and I am 19. I was born in Germany, from a german father, but I am american, because I have an american mother. I lived 5 years in Loughman, FL then left to live in France where I was raised. I lived there 14 years. And I now I moved back to the USA.

Lucky people with American citizenship... Did you know that Canadians can't even apply for the green card lottery cause they've had too many over the past 5 years? Sorry, I'm kinda jealous and that's my little rant... Anyways, nice to meet you! I'm from Canada as well and I'm working in outdoor foods at Disney studios until the end of august. Maybe I'll stop by and say hi sometime! J'étudie en français aussi. Mara, ton français c'est pas mal! J'étais en immersion française depuis la maternelle alors je pourrais t'aider! Puis, on pourrais aller au pavillon français et chanter "Les poissons, les poissons hehehe honhonhon!" Sorry... I love that part.

Indeed. A lovely story. I am rather jealous too though. [pss....just mentioning it's the Uk pavilion...not England...don't forget us Scots, Welsh & Norther Irish :-[ ...] You will have a lot of the same managers as the UK, France & Canada merch. Say hi to Peggy, Brenda or Kim for me if they are still there. Also was Randev still CoT when you began? OMG just thought.... you're gonna have to do rope drop! Euch! UK merch used to have to do it but then IG took over. Happy days standing out there for hours lol. At least you have the squirrels (Nutkins!) to keep you company. ;D Ona x

Hey Ona, Were we there the same time? I was there March 2004--2005. It looks like we had the same managers. I'm getting together with all 12 in August at Le Cellier as a reunion. I keep in touch with all of them, and have found out that all of them have moved except Peggy!! Unbelievable, eh? A few of them are over in M.K. now, or at the front of EPCOT.
