    Hiyo all!

Resident Irish loon just got home (23:56 :'()...

Marie-you were wearing a white top and had your hair pulled back, if I recall correctly?

I was the guy in the blue shirt sitting opposite you! If it means anything to you, I thought you seemed far more Disney and outgoing than some *cough* other people *grumbles a bit*

Anyhoo, I thought mine went ok-though not as well as I'd have liked. I didn't use any of the responses that I had thought through. Ended up just speakin' from the top of my head-which I suppose is what they wanted.

I loved the presentation. The recruiters were sooooo cool and I love my cool new IP pen! *grins* And I did get a good giggle out of the girl on the video. I mean, there's perky, there's Disney perky and there's her-creepily perky *grins*

I had Ops, Custodial, QS F&B, Merch but I have my heart set on ops.

Overall though, I enjoyed the day-even with the billion hours of waiting in Birmingham aiport for my flight!

    Yay ICP!

P.S. Marie, ooh. Scary. Just as I was typing my response you ask me... *plays X-files music* ;D

Marie, You were the one sitting right at the edge (closest the door) in the waiting area, right?

Steamboat willie, whereabouts were you sitting in the presentation? Us lads are a dieing breed in Disney applicants, I'd say! :D

I'd say there was around 50 there. And everyone seemed nice!

Yes. The apartment guy was very annoying.

No, I was the guy who was standing when he came in-not the guy on the stool. So, were you the guy with the blond highlights? Where were you sitting in the presentation?

This resort ain't big enough for the both of us, pilgrim. You feelin' lucky punk?

    ;D

I feel like I know who you are-I just cant put a face to the seat, I'm afraid!

I suppose I'll have to wait till next summer to find out who you were :p

And marie, you never know, we could be working together. They might have too many for merch and F&B. :p

The uniform will be different depending on where you are. Like, space mountain and splash mountain have different ones. But they all looked ok yesterday. Even if some of them looked a little warm-like norway's massive thing-and the german lederhosen lol

I could have put down lifeguard-but I thought you'd get burnt alive if you did it, so I didnt! :D

The interview doesn't sound too stressful! Were most people there "Disney" material or did a few people really shine? What sort of questions did they ask? Is there anything I can think about in advance? My mind goes totally blank when Im under pressure. What were most of the girls wearing? Ive got my interview next week and I can not decide what to wear!!! Good luck to you all!!!!!

It really wasn't! After the presentation, everyone seemed to have calmed right down and everyone was saying how they felt really at ease. It was a pleasure, really :)

As for questions, I was asked in what role and why I'd like to work, had I travelled, why I'd like to work in WDW, had I been to Disney parks before, if I had public speaking experience, if I lived at home, what I'm studying, if Jason had been to my university, how I heard about the program, and of course, there was conversation about how I got to Birmingham :D I'm sure there was more, but I cant remember any of it!

I suppose, you could think about what position you'd like to work in and why, and why you'd like to work at WDW. Though, I did that (thought lots about it!) and I found the "prepared" answers I had were miles different from what I ended up saying in the interview! Thinking about it, that might not have ben terrible, I suppose, as if I were to get a position over there, I'd have to think on my feet anyway! :D

As for the lay-deez, there was alot of black. But thinking about it, there was a lot of colour too. We need a girl to answer this-I don't think I'm qualified :-\

Anyhoo, the whole day was very enjoyable. The interview isn't half as scary as you'd think it is. As I said to the crowd waiting when I came out of my interview, "If anyone's nervous, don't be!"-the recruiters are really nice and will have you feeling completely at ease.

What I especially liked was the other people there applying. I thought there'd be a lot of everyone just sticking to themselves and not talking to each other and lots of social awkwardness-I thought I'd be completely shy and lonely and such. But I couldn't have been more wrong. Everyone was really outgoing and friendly (just like CMs should be!) and there was a lot of smiling and chatting. Everyone seemed like definate CM material which helped to take away some of the nervousness, I think!

Though I still feel like I might have made a bit of an eejit of myself in my interview :-\ *shrugs* Oh well!

Thanks very much KC, that has made me feel a lot better. Im really looking forward to it now. And im going to make sure to wear some colour! The only thing that worries me is you saying that everyone there is CM material. It must be hard for them picking people who go through. I want to stand out. I hope they will be able to see how much I really want it. Ive wanted to work in DisneyWorld since I was tiny!

    Me too! Dream job! :D

Well, put it this way, you need to have a certain attitude to want to work at the World, right? I mean, you can't be all grumpy and not like people. So everyone that applies is bound to have some CM in them. Chances are that if you get to the face to face anyway, you'll have already seemed to be outgoing and friendly on the phone to Alexis and Jason-which as you know are the two major necessities of being a CM!

But thinking about it, those recruiters know what they need and what to look for, so as long as you be yourself, I'm sure you'll stand out just right. So while it might be hard for them to pick who gets in, it's not hard for you to be yourself! You get the easy job! :D

    Good luck!

Yeah. There was one person (not naming... descriptions... in case they happen to log on!) who seemed to be very "yeah. look at me. i'm feckin' great. give me a job purely cos I'm gorgeous and probably have a boy/girlfriend out there already and you so have to give me a job cos i rock and need to work on my tan"...

They slouched all the way through the presentation (so un-Disney) and seemed very "whatever" when they were doing stuff.

Pfft. I'd be surprised if that person got in...

When do you guys get your results?

I hated the waiting. I was more nervous after my interview than before as I had convinced myself that I hadn't got in. Boy was I surprised when the phone rang!

I always wondered how many people wen't to be in Florida rather than for the love of Disney!

I don't mind where it is, as long as I can work in a Disney Park (Okay, well Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong have the Language barrier... but you get my point huh?) :)

Yeah, us Disney-people are friendlier, chattier and more outgoing. We've got that magic in us :D

    Roll on mid December!
