Hello again, so only one month now until we can apply Yay! However I'm starting to have doubts that I'll get an interview. I just don't have alot of customer experience. And I've heard that quite a few of you have done volunteer work where as I have done none.I have a Higher National Diploma in Fashion and Textiles and have been working in a supermarket for nearly 4 years. I just don't think I have enough experience. What do you think?
Disney dont care what youve done They care what your like as a person Loads of people who did the CRP wen i was there had only worked in places like asda or cinemas or not even had jobs so dw ps. I well cant wait to re apply
I had zero customer service experience when I applied (literally!) as I'd only worked in offices. They don't look at experience, they look at the person! Just be enthusiastic and you shouldn't have any problems! KC
Exactly! Dont worry about that! Im going to orlando soon and Ive never worked! This is my first work ever..so I dont think they pay too much attention on how much work exp. u have...they look how much u know about ur country and such...just smile and let they know this exp. would be like a dream come true for u!
Thanx guys I know your right. Its just when you hear about people not getting through because Yummy says they don't have enough experience it makes you wonder. I've been umming and arring about applying for awhile mainly cus I don't think I'll be able to afford to do it. I rent so can't save much money and theres no chance of me being able to move back to my mums and to be honest I wouldn't want to. I'd have to sub-let if I did get offered a place on CRP. Need somewhere to come home to lol
dont worry hun, i have 4years retail experience, 9months f&b type experience, i wanted merch and they gimme f&b lol so its all good. iv read some of these posts and u do need some kinda work experience, one of the biggest companies in the world isnt gonna hire u if you've never even had a job, but dont worry on what experience u got. my mate here who i like to call my 2nd mummy was workin in fashion and now shes in f&b. i worried far too much before i came here and it really aint that bad babe x
It really depends where you live and who they have hiring. Sometimes if you got the right stuff in other areas (maybe did volunteer work or such) then you can get it. They look a lot for personality in Canada anyway. I hear the UK they were getting picky last interviews, many people did not even get a phone interview. Depends how many people apply as to how picky they can be. I still think it will be worth it to give it a try. Just hope you don't get in right away. Though they do ask you when the earliest is. And just explain why you cant go too early cause you have apartment things to get arranged if you do get accepted. And they can offer you a time that would fit that better for you.
