hi im cheryl and am flying from gatwick on the 4th june! just thought could set up a thread for the 4th june ppl! well done
Me me me me me! As you may have guessed i will be flying out on the 4th of June ;D From Glasgow though but i'll probably see you across there, maybe at the airport, failing that then traditions! Mhairi *Excited to actually find people travelling on the same day as me*
I bet there will be tons of people flying from London - just be glad your not flying with me! I have this habit of curling up on my seat and maybe going to sleep for a while so when i put my legs out all the blood rushes there (or something like that) and i am likely to faint, i mean its only happened once before (i had all these stewards trying to look after me and waiting to catch me) but you'd think i'd learn : Plus it was on a flight from Florida - i was fine on the one to New York. Mhairi *who's just scared off anybody who was about to post they where leaving from Glasgow on the same day/flight)*
hehe im not that bad....i just hate when they announce how high the plane is!!!!! hello...ppl scared of heights! lol
oh no the best part is when its going like level and isnt climbing. I hate take offs *shudders* but the rest i'm fine with. As long as i have something to hold onto or someone i'm perfectly fine.
Ah training...early in the morning most likely suffering from jet lag - its going to be fun! I'm going to be a lifeguard - you?
I said i'd do any job just to be out there but i have no experience whatsoever with food service, actually i dont have any job experience at all - apart from some voluntry work. We discussed that sort of thing at my interview - that i'd do any job - but interviewer person was like "but you wouldnt be happy do it", i didnt even mark it on the little sheet. Plus i know i'd do something wrong. Pretty freaked about the whole lifeguarding thing though - in a good way
yeh im nervous about arriving and not knowing a single soul...all part of it tho, how much spending money are you taking?
I will have to admit i am not the most talkative out going person in the world but i think most of the people going will be like minded and i'm sure we'll all get along great. I switch between being really excited about going then really nervous about going. Bet you'll know plenty of people when you go Just keep an eye out for the tall scottish girl lingering around, not knowing anyone lol sure that wont happen either - she really hopes -. Spending money - as much as possible. I'm planning on using my discount to the best advantage so i'm going to need quite abit. But then theres like an assesment fee to pay and first weeks rent - i think - and food money. I'm saving my student loan plus i think some of my family will probably give me some money to go away with. In the end i wont *take* much maybe about $1000 (about $600) in cash and travellers cheques - or that fancy card thing - and the rest will be in my bank account back home and i'll have my debit card with me incase i need to use it. What about you? The figure might go down a bit though what with a trip to London and a Visa to pay for.
