I am from HK and I wanna apply the CRP 2010, anyone can let me know the application procedure, many thanks. BTW, I graduated in 2007, any chance on this program ???
Hey Elaine, I'm from the UK, but I'm pretty sure the application process is the much the same everywhere. Firstly it doesn't matter when you graduated, the CRP is open to anyone over the age of 18 . If you don't get through the first time, you can apply again as many times as you like. So to start with, you send your application off online. If you follow the link on the Disney website there should be a representative in your country who'll deal with all the applications. For example, for us in the UK, it's Yummyjobs.com. On their website they'll have the application form you need to fill in. You should get a reply saying they've recieved it and when you should expect to hear back from them. A couple of weeks later (depending when you send your application in, eg. I sent mine in months before the applications actually opened, so I had to wait months, but if you apply when the applications are open, then you should hear in a couple of weeks. If that makes sense) you should recieve an email saying whether you've been chosen for a phone interview or not. If you haven't, unlucky, there's always next time. If you have, they'll give you dates to choose from when's best for you. You wait for that date to come (a couple of weeks roughly from when you recieved the email), have your phone interview, which is with your countries representing company (so mine was a woman from Yummy Jobs), it only takes about 10-20 mins. Another couple of weeks later you'll hear whether you were successful and whether you have been invited for a face to face interview. If you get that far, then next you'll have to wait for your interview date (which for me was about a month or so later). This will usually be held in a major city (for us it was in London, some of the Canadian's are in Montreal). Here they have actual recruiters from Disney and they give you a nice fancy peresentation telling you all about the programme, pretty much everything you need to know, then the interviews are spread throughout the day. After the interview (which is a bit longer than the phone interview, but they're really nice, so don't worry) you should hear back in a couple of weeks whether you have been successful. You'll get one of three responses. Either you didn't get through, better luck next time, you were accepted and will be leaving on such and such a date, or you have been accepted but they dont have a place for you at the moment (ie, you've been waitlisted and if something comes up, then they might call you, but it's not garuanteed...which is where I am.) This has turned into quite a novel of a reply, but I hope you find it useful. It might be a bit different in HK, but I can't see it being anything too drastic. It is a long process though. For me, I first applied in March (as I said, way before the applications opened (which was 1st August)), had my phone interview at the end of August, had my face to face at the beginning of October and now am waiting.... But for those that did get accepted from my set of interviews, they have start dates anywhere from Feb-July. Just be warned that just because you apply in 2010, doesn't necessarily mean you'll be going out there in 2010, it could well be 2011. Hope you've found this useful and not too rambly Good Luck!
